The Amber Hare
Meet the Girl..with the Amber Rabbits..
Four beautiful Golden Amber Hares
A Family of Rabbits
She has vowed to Protect
these Sacred Creatures
*
She Surrounds them with a Red Veil
She has Become their Guardian
and will Keep them all safe
She cloaks them with Protection
Each Bewildering Creature
a special power and gift
she knows the secret of the Amber Hare
She says there is a Legend
*
And has gathered all four
in a shelter of safety
When it is time...
when it is safe
she will let the Amber Hare..all four...be free
For now...she guards them with her life..
This painting came about..through the Antique old red velvet chair
that I have
It is a Victorian Child's chair
I often see a flash of her face sitting there..
One day...I began to paint her
to see what she was so intense about
And as I painted she revealed her story
and she was guarding the magical hares...
her story captivated me..
*
I hope you enjoyed this Visiting Soul too
and the Legend of the Amber Hare
she shared with me...( still a secret!)
Painting the rabbits...were my favorite part
I fell in love with each of them...
Wishing you all Happy PPF!
See you there...

Loving the beautiful faces of the hares and they look so safe and secure. Happy PPF. Annette x
My new favorite painting of yours! I love the velvety, flowing look that you achieved with the rabbit fur!
I bet that lovely red Victorian chair has a presence of its own. It must be a pleasure to sit in.
I used to to have two rabbits. They were jet-black and sisters too. I rescued them when they were three months old and cared for them until they were 8 years old. They passed away a few years ago.
I always enjoy your paintings and your posts :) Hugsxxxxx
All those rabbits, are they a magic trick from a hat? :)
Very original Victoria. I like all the details of the dress also. XX

Oh SO enchanting! I can understand why you would enjoy painting the hares. They are so beautiful - you can almost feel their soft fur. I love that the maiden will guard the babes until they are old enough to fend for themselves. Truly a beautiful painting! xoxo
You have woven another enchanting tale with your art!
Maybe if I thought of the little rabbits nibbling my lettuce as hares, I wouldn't be so angry with them. I love this painting...it has made me see bunnies in a new light.
dear Victoria, your amber hares seem to be safe and protected and have the most softest fur; may they tell you one day their secret and make you smile doing so. x
You really captured that sense of protection in her eyes and expression. And I LOVE the rabbits- so beautifully painted!
As always thank you for the words- so wonderful!

I like that you took inspiration from the chair to weave this magical story. And that you had fun doing the rabbits, they look beautiful.
Victoria this table is incredibly beautiful ... the European Parliament of the rabbits is so successful and look so dlces and the girl actually protects them ..... Great. Kisses for you and wish you a special summer full of new experiences and love.

I absolutely LOVE your work. Your colors are so deep and rich and vivid and your brush strokes are divine!!!
No, I have never met Amber Hare:) The fur is gorgeous and I love how two of the hares in the middle have their ears leaning back just below her face--it creates an interesting connection and relationship between her and them. I also like the hair ornaments she is wearing--very warrior-esque.
I also enjoy hearing how your paintings come into being;about your magical visitors.
My first instict said it was the other way round. They look mighty & they certainly have something with the girl, a deep bond.
Love the words you chose. Amber has a full scope of wonder behind it. And of course red veil implies the forces that move here.
Intense & enchanting! What talent!
So enchanting! Your work has so much movement and delicious color! Happy PPF!
An enchanting painting and love to meet the Amber Hare. :)
Lovely painting victoria! I love the woman and especially the rabbits! Very expressive!

What a stunning painting. I love the expression in her eyes and was taken back at first because she looks just like a friend of mine.
Wonderful and enchanting painting!! I have never heard of nor seen Amber rabbits but yours are truly magical!
The painting is so sweet, and I just love it! Yes, I have met an Amber Hare. When we were young, my sister adored rabbits. One appeared in our yard one day, and we took her in. Sis named her Amber. Amber gifted us with a litter of bunnies within about a week's time! What wonderful memories your lovely painting has brought back for me =)Thank you, Kathryn
I love this piece.... It reminds me of my mother. She is no longer with us but when I see paintings with rabbits it reminds me of her. She loved rabbits. Thanks for bringing back memories
Beautifully symbolic- she is a fertility goddess, a protectress of creatures and nature. She shines in her abundance of color. A beautiful work of art Victoria!
Très très belle peinture!
